CB400T/CM400T/CM450E/CB450SC CDI [Plug and Play Unit]

$300.00

CB400T/CM400T/CM400C/CM400E/CM450E/CB450SC/Etc. Plug and Play CDI.

All resistors are AEC-Q200 automotive rated for high reliability. 1% tolerance resistors are used, with the exception of a few values that are not available in this configuration. In that case they are 5%.

Capacitors are high quality and made in Japan, just like the original.

New wiring harness with new Hitachi connectors and correct colour codes.  Crimped with the proper tools for reliability.

Brand new, custom made galvanized steel powder coated case made locally in York, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.  This case looks like the original, and fits exactly like the original.  The only difference is our case is an inch taller to allow additional room for the components and potting compound as this was a failure point on the originals.  This is unlike our competitors unit, which is mounted on a bracket with plastic case that is zip tied to the bracket and does not allow room for removing the valve cover.

CDI is hand soldered, assembled, and tested by me in the U.S.A. No work has been farmed overseas with the exception of the PCB which is from a reputable vendor in China.

Check your ignition components before ordering to determine they are not faulty. Instructions are available on the VHT Forums.

Shipping is flat rate priority from USPS.  If you are international please E-Mail me to discuss shipping options.  Weighted shipping options to international will become available over the next few weeks.

Reviews

“The CDI itself was fully tested, and professionally made in such a way that it could easily pass for OEM. Plugs, wires, etc. were all perfect.” — Kentonius at VHT
“Fantastic seller and the CDI worked exactly as advertised. It was packed very well and put together cleanly- if it weren’t for the lack of markings and it being a little taller you’d think it’s parts store OEM! Installed on my CM400E after diagnosing a faulty CDI, and I’ve got spark again and the bike is behaving itself! Gave some helpful info for potential problems with the ignition coil, overall a great experience. Get your CDI from this guy, he knows his stuff!” — divi-3168 at eBay
“This circuit was fantastic. Very professionally made. Very clear instructions with good tips on construction. It was the key to getting my 79 Honda CM400A back on the road.” — nkolisnyk at eBay
